Jim Cooper (2008)
Jim Cooper is BusinessWeek’s senior editor and Business Outlook columnist. His weekly column comments on the latest economic news and the forecast for the economic and financial markets. Jim joined BusinessWeek in 1980, prior to which he was an economist in the forest products industry performing market analysis and forecasting. A North Carolina native, he holds B.S. and M.A. degrees in economics from North Carolina State University. Jim lives with his wife and son in Westport, Conn.
