Situation: Network Infrastructure Technologies, Inc., (NIT Connect) is a provider of IT services, network management, applications support, CRM management and cabling services for small to midsize companies in the New York-metro region. Capitalizing on the continued growth in IT outsourcing and its launch of a second business unit, NIT Health, the company sought to build visibility for its full range of network and IT management services to health care providers, hospitals and clinics. At the same time, NIT Connect was eager to generate greater awareness of the company as an IT solutions provider in the financial services, higher education, and consumer products categories, among other industry segments.
Program: In an effort to raise the profile of NIT Connect and drive lead generation, Stanton Communications developed and launched a broad-based marketing communications program aimed at reaching prospects across a wide range of potential touch points. A central program objective was to capitalize on the expertise and background of NIT Connect CEO and founder Lior Blik, who simultaneously serves as the acting CIO for a large hospital system in New Jersey, and position him as a thought leader on health care and IT-related topics. The agency’s multi-disciplined campaign included proactive media outreach among business and trade publications, trade show counsel, speaker platforms, newsletter support, marketing collateral, event sponsorship and Web advertising.
Results: Over the first six months of the program, Stanton Communications secured interviews for NIT Connect’s CEO with a broad cross-section of business, health care and technology trade reporters, which resulted in notable coverage in Crain’s New York Business, VAR Business, Processor Magazine, IEEE Computer and Healthcare Finance News, among others. NIT Connect credits the communications campaign and the added exposure that it has generated in helping the company maintain marketplace momentum and contribute to continued strong revenue growth during 2008, despite the financial crisis and challenging business conditions.
